Something truly special just for bassists, we've got the high-fidelity, all-analog experience of the Walrus Audio Mantle Analog Bass Preamp and DI. The Mantle, a marvelous design straight from Walrus and bassist Ian Martin Allison, punches in with a pristine preamp design for bass guitars in particular. Proprietary components, a truly seamless playing experience, and easy connectivity all compound to elevate the Mantle to truly righteous levels.

Everything in the Mantle Preamp starts with a special ingredient. At the heart of this preamp is a set of proprietary, custom-wound Sapphire transformers – designed and crafted by Walrus Audio. These high-quality, high-fidelity components are designed to be reminiscent of Neve consoles with their focus on formidable low-end and midrange force paired with an airy and articulate top end that hearkens to coveted API preamps. Totally, this customized design puts forward a tonal profile that is simple, classic, effortless, and primed for the stage or studio.

The Mantle Preamp is designed to be unencumbered and unambiguous in its operation. Centrally, the Mantle calls upon a single Gain control and a two-band EQ section with precisely delineated values to get your sound down to a science. Walrus went ahead with this pedal to focus on a more vivid EQ shaping experience that offers more than your average EQ frequency shelves. In addition, the precision offered by numerically-valued positions on the EQ and gain sweeps make the Mantle an excellent pedal for getting tonally exactly where you want and replicating such results when settings are changed. The Mantle's transformer-based gain structure spans between -6dB to +23dB.

Meant for the highest fidelity and most seamless integration on the stage or in the studio, the Mantle comes fitted with a number of additional playability and connectivity features. For one, an active/passive pad introduces a -10dB input pad meant for use with active pickup basses or instruments with existing high-output preamps for preventing overloads in the input stage. For another, the Mantle features a balanced XLR output for use in DI out situations. This XLR out can be used simultaneously with the pedal's 1/4" instrument out for parallel output in recording or performance scenarios.

A preeminent preamp for bassists, the Mantle is a heaven-sent for any and every setup, style, and sound. Take it up, make your mark.

Go Get It!
GoSports does it again. Our family has a lot of GoSports products. It brings us comfort knowing when we order a product from them the quality is going to be great. The Ball Launcher is excellent. Our lab loves the soft tennis balls that come with it, preferring them over the harder rubber ones from other brands. The launcher itself is thoughtfully designed, well-made, and comfortable to hold. Our new go-to for daily fetch sessions.

Gave it a Try
I have always used the Chuck It ball and ball launcher. I thought I would try this since the price was better. There is definitely a reason it is priced lower. The handle on this one twists on and constantly comes undone when you throw, and it does not launch nearly as well. I would not order this product again.

A few usability issues
My dog is obsessed with playing fetch. It’s part of our daily routine. Pros - I like that this comes with two launchers so we can keep one at home and one in the car. - Build feels solid Cons - The cup is slightly too small for regular sized tennis balls. I buy the large Costco box of Penn tennis balls every couple of years for my dog. If you fully seat the ball in the cup/launching end, it’s extremely difficult to throw and puts some strain on your wrist. — the workaround is to only partially insert the ball when picking it up. - Like others have stated, the launcher does come unscrewed occasionally after a few throws. It’s kind of annoying so I’ll likely try some thread lock, but ideally that wouldn’t be necessary.

Fun!!!
I can’t say enough good things about this tennis ball launcher! Roxy absolutely loves it. Every time I pick it up, her tail goes crazy with excitement. It’s so easy on my arm, and I love that it gives her a great way to burn off energy. The launcher is sturdy, well-made, and works like a charm. If you have a high-energy pup like Roxy, this is a must-have!

Fun along with frustration….
The product is good. The only problem is that the dark blue handle screws onto the lighter blue stick, and every 5-10 throws it comes unscrewed, and you have to screw them back tight. Maybe if they put a little bump in the handle and an indent on the handle so they could click into place it would work fine.
